“OTN is member-managed under the guidance of the OTN High Council.”
These words were written to ensure the people of OTN remained in control of their community, and that freedom of speech be the responsibility of each and every member. As is all-too-often repeated in history – corruption, bribery and power-mongering led to the eventual demise of the community’s ruling body, and much of the council still loyal to the founding principles was forced to flee for their very e-survival. Soon after, the rebellion was organized and the long trek back to freedom began.
On February 1st of 2008, a final battle between the evil neo-commie regime and elite Bastard Forces loyal to a free OTN took place. While heavy casualties were sustained by AEs on both sides of the conflict, Bastard Forces were ultimately able to turn the tide in their favor and bring the evil regime tumbling down. Unfortunately, much of OTN’s infrastructure was destroyed in the battle, leaving a barren wasteland for the few remaining survivors.
It is the will of the Restored OTN Council that a memorial be constructed at this site to honor all that OTN stood for, and the experiences we all shared. Construction on said memorial is to begin immediately, and once completed said memorial is to remain indefinitely.
